SYMPTOMS
Paragraph marks that are deleted while the Track Changes While Editing
(Word 97) or the Mark Revisions While Editing (Word 6.0, 6.0.1, or 7.0)
feature is active are not removed (the line breaks that these paragraph
marks contain are also retained).
CAUSEWhen Word tracks changes it does not actually delete text or other objects from a document. The text or object remains in the document and still effects the document's appearance. WORKAROUND
The default marking method for deleted text is Strikethrough and blue color
character formatting.
Method 1: Do Not Display the Revisions on the ScreenClear the Highlight Changes On Screen option (Word 97) or the Show Revisions On Screen option (Word 6.0, 6.0.1, or 7.0).To clear this option, follow these steps:
