If you are running Word on a Windows NT 4.0 workstation or server, when you
open a document created in a Windows 95, pagination may be affected. This
problem occurs when the following conditions are true:
CAUSEThe Windows 95 PostScript printer drivers retrieve different information for the Symbol font as compared with the Windows NT PostScript printer drivers. WORKAROUNDTo work around this problem, use one of the following methods. Method 1: To Correct this Problem from Windows 95To correct this problem from Windows 95, you will need to lower the PostScript printer driver resolution to 300 dots per inch (dpi). To do this, follow these steps:
Method 2: To correct this problem using Windows NTTo correct this problem from Windows NT, you will need to comment out the Symbol font information in its PPD file and delete the associated BPD file.NOTE: A new BPD file will be re-created based on the information in the new PPD file. To do this, follow these steps:
