The information in this article applies to:
-
Microsoft Word for MS-DOS, version 5.0
SUMMARY
When you are converting a DCA/RFT file to Microsoft Word format using
the WORD_DCA.EXE utility supplied with Word version 5.0, the following
are possible abnormal error messages that may be received:
- If the file(s) in the input file list do not have a valid filename
extension:
DCA/RFT (F) : ABNORMAL TERMINATION
Primary return code = 51
Secondary return code = 0
Probable cause: Input file open failure.
If no extension is typed, the program assumes that the file to be
converted has an RFT extension. Entering the filename followed by
a period in the input file list forces the conversion utility to
look for the file without adding the RFT extension.
- If the files setting in your CONFIG.SYS files is not great enough:
DCA/RFT (F) : ABNORMAL TERMINATION
Primary return code = 51
Secondary return code = 0
Probable cause: Cannot open sub document section table file
