Converting Macros Between WordPerfect and Word

SYMPTOMS

After opening a WordPerfect document that contains a macro into Microsoft Word, the macro no longer functions.

Note: Microsoft Word for the Macintosh, versions 5.0, 5.1, and 5.1a does not include macro capabilities.


CAUSE

Microsoft Word does not convert WordPerfect macros and are not stored with the converted file.


RESOLUTION

The Microsoft Consultant Relations Program (CRP) can make referrals to Microsoft Consulting Services, as well as third-party consultants, that qualify for the Microsoft Consultant Relations Program Partner Program. These consultants can perform macro conversion between WordPerfect and Word, as well as a variety of other customization and office automation tasks.
