SUMMARY
If you insert a version 3.0 or 4.0 Microsoft Excel for Windows chart
as an object linking and embedding (OLE) object in a version 2.0 or
2.0a Microsoft Word for Windows document, the chart may not display in
color.
To display color in embedded charts, do the following:
- In Word for Windows, double-click the worksheet.
- When Excel appears, double-click the embedded chart. This
activates Excel's chart window and menu options.
- Select the item on the chart that you want to appear in color.
- From the Format menu, choose Patterns.
- Under Area, select the Custom option button.
- Quit Excel.
- When Word prompts you to update the file, choose the Yes button.
