SUMMARY
In Microsoft Word for Windows, if you create a header using a large
point size, the header does not display completely in page layout
view, and it does not print completely.
Steps to Reproduce Problem
- Open a new document. From the View menu, choose Page Layout.
- From the tool bar, select a font that can be scaled to a large
point size (for example, CG Times or Modern). Leave the point size at
10 or 12 points.
- Type the word test, and press
RETURN.
- Press the F4 key four times to repeat the word.
- Select the text, and change the point size on the tool bar to 127
points.
Only two lines of the header are visible. From the View menu, choose
Normal. From the View menu, choose Header/Footer, select Header, and
choose the OK button. Now the complete text of the header is visible;
however, when you print the document, only a portion of the header
prints because Word for Windows does not allow a header to be larger
than one-half of a document page.
Microsoft is researching this problem and will post new information
here as it becomes available.
