Okidata 320 Prints "ti" and Extra Characters in IBM PPR Mode

SUMMARY

In Microsoft Word for MS-DOS, if you are using an Epson/IBM version of the Okidata Microline 320 printer with the OKI320.PRD printer driver, the printer must be in EPSON FXe emulation mode. If the printer is in IBM PPR emulation mode, the characters "ti" will print in the top left-hand corner of the page and all text with character formatting will be surrounded by various numbers and symbols.

To change the emulation mode on the Okidata Microline 320, press the printer's MODE button to activate the Menu mode. Press LINE FEED twice. The printer will print the following:


   General Control   Emulation Mode   IBMPPR 
Press PARK. The printer will then print the following:

   General Control   Emulation Mode   EPSON FXe 
Press the MODE button again to exit the Menu mode and save the new setting.
