SUMMARY

Address Book Plus is a software package manufactured by Power Up Software Corporation. Address Book Plus can help you manage names, phone numbers, addresses, and other personal data. It can also generate address book pages, mailing labels, index cards, envelopes, and phone lists.

MORE INFORMATION

You can create a data document from Address Book Plus that can be used with the print merge command in version 5.5 or 6.0 of Microsoft Word for MS-DOS. To export a data document from Address Book Plus, use the following steps:

  1. From the Main menu, choose Export.

  2. At the Export screen, type the name you want to give your data document (for example MERGE.DOC).

  3. Type D for delimited in the format field.

  4. Type , for the delimiting character.

  5. Press F4 to select the fields to export.

  6. From the Which Fields menu, select the fields that you want to export.

  7. Press F10 three times to export your names.

These steps create a file in the Address Book Plus program directory. Each field in this file is surrounded by double quotation marks and delimited by commas. This file does not contain a header record. You must either create a header file containing the field names, which you selected in step 5, or insert a header record containing these names at the beginning of the MERGE.DOC data document.

For more information about creating a header file or adding a header record to your data document, refer to the "Using Microsoft Word" manual, pages 303-310 and 339-340.

Address Book Plus is manufactured by Power Up Software Corporation, a vendor independent of Microsoft; we make no warranty, implied of otherwise, regarding this product's performance of reliability.
