Flickering Selection When Selecting with the Mouse

• Microsoft Word for MS-DOS, version 6.0

SYMPTOMS

When you make a selection with the mouse, your selection may appear to flicker. This occurs if you are using your mouse to extend the selection upward from the cursor, and if your selection contains a table. When you move your mouse into the window border to extend the selection above the area displayed on the screen, the selection highlight flickers.

When you move the mouse cursor back into the document window, the flickering stops and you can see your selection.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Word version 6.0 for MS-DOS. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
