SYMPTOMSIf you save a file with a file name that contains extended characters, you may receive the following error message: This problem occurs when all of the following conditions are true:
-and- -and- CAUSEThe extended characters you are typing in the file name is not supported by the U.S. code page. WORKAROUND
To resolve this problem, use one of the following workarounds:
