Method 3Create a style for your document formatting. When you use the Envelopes And Labels command on the Tools menu, the character formatting will not be changed for the envelope if your address in the body of the letter has a style applied rather than directly applied formatting. For more information about creating a new style, click the Office Assistant, type "How do I create a new style," click Search, and then click to view "Create new styles." In Microsoft Word, you can apply formatting in two ways: you can use
styles or you can apply paragraph and character formatting directly. To
directly apply formatting, select the text and apply the format that you
want by using menus, toolbars, shortcut keys, or by right-clicking and
using one of the choices on the shortcut menu. Any formatting that you
apply directly to the address in the document will override the Envelope
Address Style definition for the delivery address.
