SYMPTOMSWhen a document is edited by several authors, the revision mark colors may change unexpectedly after you open the document on another computer or even after you open the document on the same computer after you log on as another user. CAUSEThis behavior is by design in Microsoft Word. Word does not assign specific colors to specific users. The goal is to make sure that the revisions of several authors are distinguishable. Even though the colors may change, you see a different color for each author who has worked in the document. MORE INFORMATIONA document may travel from an author whose revisions colors are blue to another author whose revisions colors are also blue. Word cannot differentiate between those two authors unless it applies a different color for each user. Additional query words: user info revise revised
