SYMPTOMSWhen you open a Web page that contains a Microsoft Office PivotTable Component, the PivotTable may not contain all of the formatting that the source Microsoft Excel PivotTable contains. CAUSEWhen you publish an Excel PivotTable, most of the cell formatting is lost. The following formatting elements are not retained when you publish an Excel PivotTable:
NOTE: Number formatting is lost if you apply the formatting directly to the cells on the worksheet. When you use the PivotTable Field dialog box to apply number formatting to the PivotTable, the number formatting is retained when you publish the PivotTable. Additional query words: XL2000 pivotlist
