In Microsoft Excel 2000, if you select cells with auditing arrows, hold down SHIFT, and then click either the Trace Precedents tool or the Trace Dependents tool on the Auditing toolbar, the auditing arrows are not removed from the cells. WORKAROUND
To remove a precedent or dependent arrow from a cell in a worksheet,
select the cell, and then click either the Remove Precedent Arrows tool or the Remove Dependent Arrows tool on the Auditing toolbar. STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.
