SYMPTOMSWhen you open a workbook that you saved as HTML (click Save as Web Page on the File menu), custom Page Setup settings may change to the default values. CAUSE
This problem may occur when the following conditions are true:
An embedded chart has its own set of Page Setup properties separate from the worksheet. Excel does not save the custom changes made on the Page, Margins, or Header/Footer tabs in Page Setup for an embedded chart when you save the workbook as HTML (in the .htm file format). However, Excel does save changes made to the Chart tab in Page Setup. Excel also saves similar changes in Page Setup that you make to a chart on its own sheet, after saving the file as HTML. STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. MORE INFORMATION
To retain custom Page Setup settings for embedded charts, save the file as an Excel workbook (.xls). Q202283 XL2000: Some Workbook Features Not Retained When Saving as a Web Page REFERENCESFor more information about saving a workbook as a Web page, click Microsoft Excel Help on the
