XL2000: "Your Changes Could Not Be Saved..." Error Message Saving Workbook

ERROR MESSAGE

When you attempt to save a workbook in Microsoft Excel, you receive an error message similar to the following:

Your changes could not be saved to '|1', but were saved to a temporary document named '|0'. Close the existing document, then open the temporary document and save it under a new name.

Saving to a Network Drive

This error message occurs because Excel first writes a temporary file and then renames the temporary file to the name of the file being saved, such as Book1.xls. When you save a workbook file on a network drive, you must have both Modify and Delete rights for the directory to which you are saving the file.
