SYMPTOMSIn Microsoft Excel 2000, you can select TrueType fonts from the Font list on the Formatting toolbar and apply these fonts to text in your workbook. However, when you view the worksheet in print preview or print it, the text is printed in the Roman 10 cpi font. CAUSE
This behavior occurs when the default printer is set to a text-only printer driver such as the Generic Text Only printer driver. The Roman 10 cpi font is the only font that you can use when a text-only printer driver is selected as the default printer. WORKAROUNDTo use a TrueType font, select a printer driver that supports TrueType fonts. Most laser printers, ink-jet printers, and bubble jet printers support TrueType font technology. STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. Additional query words: XL2000
