File name: file format is not valid
where File name is the name of the file that you have attempted to open.

When you attempt to open a Quattro Pro file saved in the WB3 file format, you receive the following error message:
This file is not a recognizable format.

- If you know the file is from another program that is incompatible with Microsoft Excel, click Cancel, then open this file in its original application. If you want to open the file later in Microsoft Excel, save it in a format that is compatible, such as text format.

- If you suspect the file is damaged, click Help for more information about solving the problem.

- If you want to see what text is contained in the file, click OK. Then click Finish in the Text Import Wizard.

Microsoft Excel 2000 does not support opening files that have been saved in the Quattro Pro WB2 or WB3 file formats. Microsoft Excel Help erroneously states that Excel supports opening WB2 and WB3 files.
