XL2000: File Conversion Wizard Is Not Available

SYMPTOMS

The help topic, "Add-in Programs for Microsoft Excel" incorrectly states the following:

The File Conversion Wizard provided with Excel 97 is not available for Excel 2000. Instead, you can use the Office File Conversion Wizard, available in the Microsoft Office 2000 Resource Kit, to convert groups of files to Excel 2000 format.

This information is incorrect. The Office File Conversion Wizard add-in is not available at this time.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
