SYMPTOMSWhen you publish a PivotTable report to an interactive Web page, some of the database records that are summarized in the PivotTable may be accessible to users who view the Web page. CAUSEBy default, when you publish a PivotTable report to an interactive Web Page, the Microsoft Office PivotTable component caches the records necessary to display the initial view. WORKAROUNDIf you do not want the Office PivotTable control to cache the data, follow these steps:
NOTE: You cannot utilize this workaround if your PivotTable is based on data stored in an Excel worksheet. MORE INFORMATIONExcel stores the source records for the initial PivotTable view in a file named Published file name_Number_cachedata.xml where Published file name is the name of the HTML file that you published and Number is a random number generated by Excel.
