WORKAROUNDTo work around this problem, do not press the shortcut key to run the macro until after you assign the macro to the custom menu item. STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. MORE INFORMATIONAlthough you can normally run the macro by using the shortcut key or custom menu item, if you use the shortcut key, and then create the custom menu item consecutively in a single instance of Microsoft Excel, you receive the error message.
