SYMPTOMSIf you click the Favorites drop-down menu on the Web toolbar, point to "My Documents" and then click a file in the list of the "My Documents" folder, the file may not open. CAUSEYou may experience the above behavior if you currently have no open documents in Microsoft Excel. RESOLUTIONTo be able to open a file from the "My Documents" file list, you must have at least one open document. This open document can be one that you saved previously, or it can be a new workbook. STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. MORE INFORMATION
The "My Documents" file list is a listing of all the files you currently
have stored in your <drive>\My Documents folder. It lists all files in this
folder, not just Microsoft Excel files. Therefore, if you click a Microsoft
Access file from this list, for example, this file is opened with Microsoft
Access and not Microsoft Excel.
