SYMPTOMSIn Microsoft Excel 97, if you click Convert To MS Access on the Data menu to convert a Microsoft Excel list to a Microsoft Access 97 database, you may receive the following error message where <selection> contains the name of the active worksheet and the selected range of cells. CAUSEThis behavior is caused by a limitation in the Microsoft AccessLinks add- in. If you want to convert a Microsoft Excel list to a Microsoft Access database, you are limited to converting 16383 rows. WORKAROUNDTo work around this problem, please see the following article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base: Q167669 XL97: Data Truncated to 16,384 Rows When Imported Into MS Access STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.
