To have AutoFill correctly create a series based on two adjacent cells,
follow these steps:
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. MORE INFORMATIONBy dragging the fill handle of a cell, you can copy that cell to other cells in the same row or column. If the cell contains a number, date, or time period that Excel can extend in a series, the values are incremented instead of copied. To specify the type of series, press the right mouse button (right-click) as you drag the fill handle over the range. Release the mouse button, and then click the appropriate command on the shortcut menu.
