SYMPTOMSThe euro currency character is not displayed as expected on your worksheet. It appears as a vertical bar or a pipe character instead of the euro character. CAUSE
This problem occurs when you do any of the following:
-or- RESOLUTION
When you adjust the zoom ratio of the worksheet to less than 80% (depending
on the type and size of font that you are using) or resize the font to less
than 8 points, Microsoft Excel switches to using Small Fonts, Smalle.fon,
or Smallf.fon, depending on the video driver in use in Microsoft Windows.
Currently the Euro font is not supported for font sizes smaller than 8
points. However, you can add a registry entry that will cause Microsoft
Excel not to switch to using Small Fonts when zooming the worksheet.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Excel 97 for Windows.
