XL97: Small Business Financial Manager 97/98 Year 2000 Update

ID: Q236419

The information in this article applies to:
  • Microsoft Excel 97 for Windows
  • Microsoft Small Business Financial Manager

SUMMARY

The Microsoft Small Business Financial Manager displays dates using only the last two digits of the year, even if your operating system setting displays four-digit years. An update that corrects this problem is available for Microsoft Small Business Financial Manager, versions 97 and 98 for Microsoft Excel 97 (which are included with Microsoft Office 97 Small Business Edition for Windows, and Office 97 Small Business Edition, version 2.0 respectively).

After you install the update, Financial Manager will display dates using a four-digit year, or in some cases, according to your operating system setting.

If you are using Financial Manager 2000, you do not need to install this update. Financial Manager 2000 displays dates using a four-digit year.

To install this update, you must have Microsoft Excel 97 Service Release 1 (SR-1) or later (or Excel 97 with the SR-1 or SR-2 update) and Financial Manager 97 or 98 installed on your computer.
