SYMPTOMSIn Microsoft Excel 98 Macintosh Edition, when you select a color from the color palette, the value of the Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications ColorIndex property of the color you select may not be what you expect. CAUSEThis occurs in Microsoft Excel 98 Macintosh Edition because colors within the color palette are sorted chromatically, not by color index. This behavior is different than in earlier versions of Microsoft Excel for the Macintosh. STATUSThis behavior is by design of Microsoft Excel 98 Macintosh Edition. MORE INFORMATION
In Microsoft Excel, you can view the color palette by clicking the drop-
down arrow just to the right of the Font Color button on the Formatting
toolbar.
