SYMPTOMSIn Microsoft Excel 98 Macintosh Edition, if you run a Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications macro that attempts to add a shadow to a series in a chart, the program may shut down unexpectedly without displaying any error messages. CAUSEThis problem occurs if you attempt to add a shadow to a series in a 3-D surface chart. RESOLUTIONTo prevent this problem from occurring, do not use a macro to add a shadow to a series in a 3-D surface chart. If you do not know what type of chart you will be working with, you may need to modify your macro so it checks the type of the chart before attempting to add a shadow to a series within the chart.
