SYMPTOMSWhen you point to Column on the Format menu and click Standard Width, the column width is not reset to the Standard Column Width setting. CAUSEThis problem occurs if you change the width of a column from the original width. Microsoft Excel cannot automatically reset the width of the column. WORKAROUNDTo manually resize the column to the width used by the Standard Width command, follow these steps:
NOTE: If you change the Standard Column Width setting, Microsoft Excel does not change the column to match the new Standard Column Width setting. STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.
