XL98: ListBox Control Is Resized If Column Width Is Set to Zero

SYMPTOMS

When you add a ListBox control to a UserForm, the width of the ListBox may change unexpectedly.

CAUSE

This problem occurs if both of the following conditions are true:

• You add ListBox control that has multiple columns.

• You set the width of the first column in the ListBox to zero (0).

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, use a value that is greater than zero for the width of the first column in a multicolumn ListBox control.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.
