XL98: ColumnHeads Property Does Not Work

SYMPTOMS

When you set the ColumnHeads property to True, for either a ListBox or a ComboBox, the column heading(s) in these controls are not displayed when you show your user form.


CAUSE

Excel 98 Macintosh Edition is not designed to use the ColumnHeads property.


STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.


MORE INFORMATION

The main reason the ColumnHeads property does not work is that the RowSource property is not supported in Excel 98.

For more information about the Properties window, from the Visual Basic Editor, click Contents and Index on the Help menu (or on the Balloon Help menu if you are using a version of the Macintosh operating system earlier than 8.0), click the Index button in Visual Basic for Applications Help, type the following text

and then click Show Topics. Select the "Properties window" topic, and click Go To. If you are unable to find the information you need, ask the Office Assistant.

Although Visual Basic for Applications Help has information available for the ColumnHeads property, this property does not function as stated in Excel 98 Macintosh Edition.
