Novice: Requires knowledge of the user interface on single-user computers.
CAUSEA folder (or directory) name in the path for Microsoft Access is longer than 8 characters, for example, c:\Msoffice95\Access or c:\office\Msaccess95. RESOLUTIONRun the Microsoft Access Setup program (Setup.exe) to uninstall Microsoft Access. Then, run Setup again, and install Microsoft Access in a new folder with a name of 8 characters or fewer. STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Access 7.0. This problem no longer occurs in Microsoft Access 97.
