CAUSEIf you use the Web toolbar in Microsoft Access 97 to explore a Web page, but you do not have a database or a database object open, there is no current database to reference when it is time to move back. Therefore, clicking the Back button does not do anything. RESOLUTION
Make sure there is a database open when you start Microsoft Internet
Explorer from the Web toolbar in Microsoft Access. Then when you click the
Back button, there will be an open database to return to.
MORE INFORMATIONThe expected behavior when you click the Back button in Microsoft Internet Explorer is for that program to close, and for the focus to return to Microsoft Access 97. Steps to Reproduce BehaviorThe following example assumes that you have Microsoft Internet Explorer version 3.0 installed on your computer, and that you have a Start Page configured on the Navigation tab of the Options dialog box.
