ACC97: "Overflow" Error When Outputting Report to RTF Format

SYMPTOMS

Custom reports containing multiple subreports may produce the following error message when you export the report as Rich Text Format (RTF):


   Overflow 


CAUSE

When you output a report with multiple subreports to Rich Text Format, a procedure is called from within Utility.mdb. Under certain circumstances, the procedure's calculation exceeds the range allowed for an integer and produces the error described in the "Symptoms" section.


RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, obtain Microsoft Office 97 Service Release 2 (SR-2).

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Access 97. This problem was corrected in Microsoft Office 97 Service Release 2 (SR-2).
