SYMPTOMS
On Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 Service Pack 3 (SP3), if you try to open a
Microsoft Access 97 database from a folder that also contains a large
bitmap with the same name as that database, you may receive a fatal error.
Then, you must restart the computer. NOTE: The first parameter in this case will always be 00041284. The other parameters will vary, depending on the system configuration. On Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 Server Service Pack 3 (SP3), you may see the STOP error message or the system may stop responding (hang). In either case, you must restart the computer. NOTE: This error is more likely to occur if the bitmap is over 1.5 megabytes (MB) in size. NOTE: This problem does not occur in Microsoft Windows 95, Microsoft Windows 98, or Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 Service Pack 4 (SP4). RESOLUTIONMove the bitmap to another folder or rename it so that it does not exactly match the database name. STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Access 97.
