SYMPTOMSWhen you import data from a text file into Microsoft Access, dates that contain years with two-digits are always interpreted as years between 1900 and 1999. CAUSEMicrosoft Access 7.0 does not handle two-digit years between 00 and 30 as years between 2000 and 2030. RESOLUTIONWhen you import data from a text file, ensure that all the date values use a format that includes a four-digit year. For example: 1/1/1999 Jan 1, 1999 STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed
at the beginning of this article.
