SYMPTOMS
Novice: Requires knowledge of the user interface on single-user computers.
CAUSEThe subform is not linked to the main form. RESOLUTIONYou should use the LinkMasterFields and LinkChildFields subform control properties to link the main form and subform automatically. You can manually update the subform by pressing the F9 (recalculate) key. STATUSThis behavior is by design. MORE INFORMATION
Recalculation occurs automatically for controls that reference other
fields on the same form or fields in subforms. Recalculation does not
occur automatically for subform controls that only reference fields on the
main (master) form or in other subforms.
REFERENCESFor more information about main form/subform relationships, search the Help Index for "linking subforms," or ask the Microsoft Access 97 Office Assistant.
