ACC1x: Form Objects Not Placed on Grid by Form Wizard

ID: Q94176

The information in this article applies to:
  • Microsoft Access versions 1.0, 1.1

SYMPTOMS

When you are using Form Wizards, objects do not appear to be aligned to the grid even though you have set Objects Snap To Grid to Yes.

CAUSE

Form Wizards are designed to place objects on the form and position them in the appropriate manner. The Objects Snap To Grid option is a feature to help you place controls on forms. Since you are not positioning the objects manually, there is no need for FormWizards to use the Objects Snap To Grid feature.

STATUS

This behavior no longer occurs in Microsoft Access version 2.0.
