ACC: How to Set Security for Modifying Data in a Query Dynaset

You can affect a user's ability to edit data in a query's dynaset by
changing the settings for the following two permissions:
- Run With Owner's Permissions, for a query
- Modify Data, for a query and any underlying tables

For a user to be able to edit a query's dynaset, one of the following must
be true:
- The Run Permissions property must be set to Owner's. To set this
property, click Properties on the View menu when the query is open in
Design view.
- The Modify Data check box must be selected for both the query and
the underlying tables. To select this check box, point to Security on
the Tools menu, and then click User and Group Permissions (or click
Permissions on the Tools menu in versions 1.x and 2.0). You must perform
this step for each object for which you want to assign permissions.

settings and how each affects the user's ability to edit a query's dynaset:
