SYMPTOMS
Moderate: Requires basic macro, coding, and interoperability skills.
RESOLUTIONIf the directory or directories in question are set as working directories, they work correctly. STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Access versions 1.0, 1.1, 2.0, 7.0, and 97. MORE INFORMATION
Paradox version 3.5 allows you to specify directories as "private
directories" (Paradox Menu: Tools/Net/SetPrivate). Private directories are
used to hold Answer tables and the results of queries, as well as other
types of data, and cannot be examined or changed by other users. If another
Paradox user attempts to do so, he or she receives the error message, "This
is a private directory, you are not allowed access."
