PRB: LoadTypeLib Does Not Register Type Library

- Microsoft Windows 95
- Microsoft Windows 2000

SYMPTOMS

LoadTypeLib will not register the type library if the path of the type library is specified in the szFileName parameter. For backward compatibility, LoadTypeLib will register the type library if the path is not specified.

RESOLUTION

RegisterTypeLib should be used to register a type library.

STATUS

This behavior is by design.
