SYMPTOMSWhen you try to acquire an image with either Hewlett-Packard's DeskScan II version 2.3 or PictureScan, you receive the following error message:
CAUSEMicrosoft Imager's Twain implementation is not communicating correctly with DeskScan II or PictureScan to define the correct memory buffer size to acquire the image. STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Imager version 2.0. Microsoft is researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available. WORKAROUNDWord 7.0a upgrade contains a new Imager dll updated to work with new Hewlett-Packard scanning software. An updated Imager Dynamic Link Library DLL) file to work with the new HP scanning software will ship with Office Pro 95a.
