Draw: Text Shows Through Opaque Object When Printed

ID: Q97661

The information in this article applies to:
  • Microsoft Draw, version 1.0

SUMMARY

If you create an image in Microsoft Draw that contains text overlapped by an opaque object, such as a filled square, the text will show through the object when it is printed to a Hewlett-Packard (HP) LaserJet Series II or III printer.

To prevent this from happening, make sure the text is formatted with a TrueType font, and select the Print TrueType As Graphics option in the Options portion of the Setup dialog box for the printer driver, either in the Windows-based application into which you have inserted the Draw object, or in the Windows Control Panel.
