Printing with the Partial Option/Landscape Mode May Not Work

ID: Q30888

The information in this article applies to:
  • Microsoft Paintbrush for MS-DOS, version 1.0

SUMMARY

If you select to print a partial picture in landscape mode while using the Print option in MS Paintbrush, you may have trouble printing.

You must move the expandable box from the top-left corner to the bottom-right corner when selecting the portion of the picture to print. If you expand the box from the bottom right to the top left, the picture will not print.

To print a partial picture, do the following:

  1. Choose the Print option under the Page menu.

  2. Select the Land and Partial options in the dialog box, then select OK.

  3. A reduced image of the picture you are trying to print appears. At this point, the mouse controls a dotted, expandable box.

Using this box, select the portion of the picture you want to print. Expand the box by starting at the top-left portion of the picture and moving it to the bottom-right portion.
