Tile Patterns Not Filling in Entire Closed Entity

ID: Q71611

The information in this article applies to:
  • Microsoft Paintbrush for MS-DOS, version 4.0

SUMMARY

If you select certain tile patterns to fill in an enclosed entity, the entity may be only partially filled in. You may see a thin line of dots extending across the entity. This happens with tile patterns of equally spaced dots or patterns that have the same background color as the entity, especially white.

As a workaround, fill in the entity with black first, and then fill it in with the desired tile pattern.

Microsoft is researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledgebase as it becomes available.
