SUMMARY

After you install Microsoft Paintbrush version 4.00 or 4.01, and then try to run the PAINT.BAT file, the following error message may be displayed:

Could not init video hardware

This error occurs on systems that have 8514 video cards. To solve the problem, you must run the HDI load program provided with the system before you install Paintbrush.
