SUMMARY

In order to run properly, Microsoft Visual Basic Applications (VBA) must have access to the HKEY_CURRENT_USER Registry Hive. When VBA runs for the first time, it creates certain keys that it needs in this Hive. Therefore, VBA stores various user customized settings in this Hive. If VBA cannot write to the HKEY_CURRENT_USER Hive, it may stop responding.
