Some International Keyboard Keys Do Not Work as Hot Keys

Microsoft Visual Basic Standard and Professional Editions for MS-DOS, version 1.0

SYMPTOMS

Some characters on foreign language keyboards cannot be used as hot keys in captions of controls or menus.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a bug in Microsoft Visual Basic for MS-DOS, version 1.0. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.

MORE INFORMATION

Although an error will not occur if you use set a caption using the ampersand (&) in conjunction with one of the following keys, it will not function as a hot key.

FRANCE:FR GERMANY:GR SPAIN:SP UNITED KINGDOM:UK [ASCII 233] (130) SS (245) [ASCII 191] (168) [ASCII 163] (156) [ASCII 232] (138)
