SYMPTOMSThe Query Definitions Differ dialog box displays the following error when the user fails to fully delimit parameters in their SQL test:
CAUSEThe Query Designer cannot always guess what your intentions are when you start a parameter without terminating it in your SQL text. RESOLUTIONGo back into the SQL text and correctly delimit the parameter value for the query. STATUSThis behavior is by design. MORE INFORMATIONSteps to Reproduce BehaviorActivate the property page, go to the Parameters page and use % for the prefix and suffix characters for parameters. Type into the SQL pane, the following query:
Click into the Results pane. The Query Designer displays the Query
Definitions Differ dialog box and click OK. The Query Designer shows the
resulting statement in the SQL pane:
You can fix the query by modifying the text to read:
