BUG: Recordset NavBarAlignment Displays Incorrect Property

ID: Q190592

The information in this article applies to:
  • Microsoft Visual InterDev, version 6.0

SYMPTOMS

The Recordset Navbar of the Grid DTC is right-justified, even though the property browser shows the "NavBarAlignment" property is set to "2 - Center."

CAUSE

The navbarAlignment property of the Grid DTC is set to "Right" by default. However, the property browser displays the navbarAlignment property as "Center," initially.

RESOLUTION

  1. Select the Grid DTC and press F4 to pull up the property browser.

  2. Change the "NavBarAlignment" property to "1 - Left," then back to "2 - Center."

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a bug in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. We are researching this bug and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.

MORE INFORMATION

Another workaround for this bug is to programmatically set the navbarAlignment property of the Grid DTC in the Recordset's ondatasetcomplete event. The following VBScript code sample will successfully center the Recordset Navbar of the Grid DTC.

   Sub Recordset1_ondatasetcomplete()
      Grid1.navbarAlignment = "Center"
   End Sub
